We will  be studying subjects and verbs that are unusual (page 8).  We will be working through this orally today.  There is no assignment with this lesson.  Remember introduction speeches are due tomorrow.

We are going to talk about subjects and predicates today (page 6).    The assignment is page 7B.  The students will list the subject and the verb of each sentence.  They will turn this in at the end of the hour.  Remember Introduction speeches are due on Thursday.

We are going to talk about the types of sentences.  For the assignment, the students will write two examples of each type of sentences.  They will turn this in at the end of the hour.  Remember Introduction speeches are due next Thursday and Friday.

I will be presenting the information for the Introduction Speech today.  The students will give these speeches next Thursday and Friday, September 9 and 10.

Today we will be talking about the importance of English class.  The students will work on a Textbook Track Down in class.  They will turn this in at the end of the hour for a grade.
